Breakouts:   Everyone is assigned a supper hour:  5-6 or 6-7 pm on Saturday.  During the other hour, you may choose from one of the following breakouts.

1.   High School Seniors Only:  Bridging the Gap from Youth  and High School to College and College Life.  A great time to ask questions, learn from those who have made the transitions and what they wish they had known before going to college.

2.  What’s your Thing?   Discerning your spiritual gifts and once you know what they are how to find that place to serve in the church.

3.  wiiConnection:  Discovering Missouri Conference Youth opportunities.  How to get involved?  Learn about the mission trips, confirmation, leadership trainings, CCYM

4.  Curiosity and Chaos:  Middle School only, talkin’ bout stuff.  Peer pressure, who you are in Christ, and more

5.  1 Timothy 4:12:  Empowering Students to be in leadership in the Local Church.  Led by young adults that were leaders when they were in high school

6. Baby Grace:  Practical ways to be in ministry with pregnant teens and their families.  Led by a church that is involved in such a ministry

7.  Wars, Plagues, Infidelity, Talking donkeys, yes, it’s in there.   Game and activity orientated way of learning the unusual stuff in the Bible.

8.  Exploring the “Call”    What are the ways God calls you to ministry?  What are the options for  ministry within the church?  Learn about others’ call.  Answer questions such as:  Do I have to preach to work in the church?

9.  Multi Media and Video Production:  how to create your own and using multi media and video in ministry.

10.  Dance in Worship:  Experience and participate in creative dance.

11.   What is Youtheology?  St. Paul School of Theology offers a year long experience for juniors and seniors in high school to grow deeper in their faith.  Personal stories and  information to be shared

12.  Chrsyalis:  What is it?  How do you get involved.  Personal testimonies. 

13.  WOW Choir:  learn a song that will be sung as a choir in worship on Sunday morning.

14.  So, I’m a Youth Leader, now What?  Led by a first year youth leader and an experienced youth leader.  What is helpful as you start?  Where to go for information. 

15.  Along for the Ride:  What is the role of the adult volunteer.  Helpful ideas and ways you can be a life changer for the youth.

Who can attend?   Grades 6-12 and adult sponsors.  All adults who attend must be Conference Safe Sanctuaries certified.  Certification can be completed on line:  www.moumethodist.org/safesanctuaries.  You can also check this web site to see that you are current.  Certification is current for 4 years and then you must go through the process again.
Arrive between:  10:30 am and 1 pm.  Inflatables and other activities will be happening.  There will be some new activities this year ( Karaoke, guitar praise, dance revolution, 4-square, noodle hockey, ultimate beach ball, bubble blowing contest, revised volleyball, inflatables, booths, lunch, Youth Service Fund fundraisers (make wax hands for $2 or have your picture taken, $2).  graffiti wall, make your own bumper sticker,).  Check in is in the Upper Trade Center, where you will get name tags, t-shirts, detailed schedules with locations.  Lunch will be served from 11 am to 1 pm at the Convention Center across the street. 
 
    General Session begins at 1:30 pm.  Followed by seminars with the artists.
 
    Workshops and supper will be from 5 pm to 7 pm. 
 
    Evening session:  7:30 pm
 
    Dismiss to churches, 9:45 pm,  Lights out at midnight.
 
Sunday:  breakfast on your own.  General Session beings at 8:15 am.  Homeward Bound:  noon.
 
 
Cost:  $50 if registered by Dec. 14.   $65 after Dec. 14.  Final registration must be received by Jan. 18.
    Cost includes:  event, t-shirt, lunch and supper on Saturday, housing if you stay in a local church, sleeping on the floor.  No showers available. 
 
Booths:  There will be booths open on Saturday.  All of the artists will be selling merchandise.  Cokesbury will be present.  There will be Youth Service Fund fundraising opportunities.  An offering will be collected during worship on Sunday morning.

Housing:  If you choose to stay in a local United Methodist Church, you will be assigned a church by the leadership committee.  We plan to email the church after Jan. 18 when all registrations have been received.  There will be several churches staying in each location. 

You do have the option to pay for Hotel rooms at at the conference price of $89 per room.  Please contact the University Plaza and make your reservations directly with them but let them know you are with the WOW conference.
