Youth Fundraiser/Sweat Equity Day

Saturday, May 17th

Come and support our youth as we hold our yearly fundraiser to help with our

Sierra Service Project (SSP) mission trip to Warm Springs Indian Reservation

in Warm Springs, Oregon,  camperships, and other programs

offered to youth in our church and our community.

The day begins at 8:00 a.m.

with a

Rummage Sale 

         Car Wash

                                                                Suggested Donation: $5 for cars

                                          $7 - $10 for SUV's/Trucks/Vans

 and a yummy Bake Sale!              

But, that's just the beginning...

Join us Saturday evening:

5:30 p.m. for a Spaghetti Dinner

OR

7:30 p.m. for a scrumptious Dessert Buffet

(featuring Starbucks© coffee,

Claim Jumper's "Motherlode Chocolate Cake,"

other first-class desserts donated by local bakers, and much more!)

Each seating will feature Lucy and Nick Della Valle, from 2nd Chance Ministries,

sharing the message of Christ through a very special 35 minute presentation of...

'Zacchaeus'

Meet Lucy and Nick Della Valle...

    He walked 3, 300 miles for Christ (100 miles for every year that Jesus walked the earth) and now he’s coming to Upland to share his story! Nick Della Valle is only 4’8” tall and it took him thirteen months, thirteen pairs of shoes and over 8,712,000 steps to complete his Faith Odyssey. He has traversed the continental United States dressed as Zacchaeus, the diminutive tax collector of Biblical times.   

    His cross-country adventure encouraged folks along the way to use their God given gifts, introduced people to Christ and set the stage for his thirty-five minute performance of the one-man play entitled Zacchaeus. Nick will be arriving in Upland to address the First United Methodist Church of Upland at their Youth Fundraiser Events on Saturday, May 17th.  There will be a Spaghetti Dinner at 5:30pm and a Dessert Buffet and Coffee Social at 7:30pm in the Fellowship Hall.
