Youth Poems/ Prayers
My heart cries out,
Silently,
But no one answers my calls.
My arms reach out,
Inwardly,
But no one takes my hand.
My soul yearns,
Invisibly,
But no one fills my crevice.
I need attention .
I need attention from people who are trust worthy.
I need them to listen.
I need them to listen to my pains, my failures, my victories.
I need them to comfort.
I need them to comfort and encourage me, to hug me.
I want to weep.
I want to weep and lie in the ashes and be vulnerable
But I can't be weak,
Because I am know to be strong
I can't be sad,
Because I am know to be happy.
I can't talk,
Because I am know to be sorrow less.
So I turn to him,
He who rules over the heavens and the earth,
He who died for me and all my sins,
He who defeated death and rose to win!
It is he who answers my call, takes my hand an fills my crevice
It is he who listens, comforts, and loved me when I an vulnerable.
