Sun., Feb. 3, 4-7:30 PM--Super Bowl party at Ellen's  We won't have Sunday school this week.  Pizza and pop will be provided.  Please bring a snack to share.  You're more than welcome to bring a friend.  Call the church (777-0192) if you need directions or a ride.  The party will be over at the end of halftime, but you can leave earlier if you don't want to miss the game.

Sat., Feb. 16, 5-10:30 PM--Rockford District Youth Dance.  The Rockford District is sponsoring a dance for all students in grades 6-12.  (4th and 5th graders may attend with parents' permission.)  There will be music, games, food, and plenty to do, even if you don't like dancing.  This will be a great chance to meet other United Methodist youth from all over northwestern Illinois.  We will meet at the church at 5 PM.  The dance is at Court Street UMC in Rockford.  We'll give you a ride home afterwards, around 10:30 PM.  Feel free to invite a friend.  Cost is $5.  You must have a permission slip for this event.  Please call the church if you need one!

Sun., Feb 17, 4:30 PM--Fill in the Blanks.  Do you have questions about God, faith, or life in general?  Maybe you'd just like a chance to stump Pastor Sherrie and Ellen.  In any case, you won't want to miss this Sunday school class.  Pastor Sherrie and Ellen will have a question and answer session and talk about the things YOU want to talk about.  We'll try to answer as many questions as we can.

Sun., Mar. 3, 5:30-7 PM--Decorating Easter Eggs.  Easter is early this year, so we're getting a head start on making Easter Eggs to sell for a fundraiser.  The money will help us go on our summer mission trip.

Sun., Mar. 17, 5:30 PM--Progressive Dinner.  Who makes the best food in Galena?  Come and find out!  After Sunday school, we will visit the homes of different church members, eat a lot of food, and have a wonderful time!  You must have a permission slip for this event.  Please call the church if you need one!  We need a head count by Mar. 10, so be sure to tell Ellen if you're coming.

Sat., Apr 13-Sun., Apr. 14--Spring Games Overnight.  This will be an exciting retreat in Lewistown, Illinois, which is near Peoria.  More information will be coming soon.  You may invite a friend on this trip.  We will leave Galena sometime around 3 PM Sat. and return around 3 PM on Sunday.  You'll need a sleeping bag and a snack to share.  There will be a cost, but we don't know what it is yet.  You must have a permission slip for this event.  Please call the church if you need one!  NO MIDDLE SCHOOL SUNDAY SCHOOL THIS EVENING.  (You'll need your rest after this weekend!)
